Twitter accused business magnate Elon Musk of trying to "delay" the lawsuit it filed to compel him to complete the $44 billion acquisition deal and urged for a trial in September to ensure the deal is funded. The company stated that "millions of Twitter shares are traded daily amid the shadow of uncertainty that Musk has created... No public company of this size and scope has endured such uncertainty."
Twitter filed a lawsuit against Musk and requested a judge in Delaware to order him to complete the acquisition at the agreed price of $54.20 per share. The company emphasized that if the court orders Musk to finalize the deal, which has a deadline in April, additional litigation could take months. For this reason, Twitter asked the judge to reject Musk's proposal to hold the trial in February.
