The Egyptian website "FilGoal" revealed that the company "Adidas" is preparing to announce a shoe featuring the signature of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the top scorer of Liverpool FC. It noted that the design is akin to the shoe worn by Argentine Lionel Messi in the 2014 World Cup. It is anticipated that Salah will wear this shoe during the Africa Cup of Nations tournament scheduled in Cameroon, which begins on Sunday and continues until February 6.
The website clarified on its official Twitter account that Salah's new shoe, of which 1,069 pairs will be sold worldwide, will bear the number 69, referring to the goal Salah aims to achieve to become the all-time top scorer for the Egyptian national team. Salah will participate with the Egyptian national team in the tournament featuring seven Arab teams: Egypt, Morocco, Algeria (the defending champion), Tunisia, Comoros, Sudan, and Mauritania.
