Trezeguet Leaves England "Temporarily" ... This Is His New Destination

After days of finishing his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, Aston Villa announced in an official statement on Tuesday the loan transfer of Egyptian player Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet to Turkish team Basaksehir. The English club stated: "Our player Trezeguet has transferred to Basaksehir on loan until the end of the season." The statement added: "Good luck, and we look forward to seeing you again after the season ends." Aston Villa's coach Steven Gerrard mentioned that the purpose of Trezeguet's loan is to ensure he plays regularly to regain his form after injury. Trezeguet suffered a torn cruciate ligament injury last season during his team's match against Liverpool in the Premier League. He previously played in the Turkish league with Kasımpaşa before joining Aston Villa in the summer of 2019.
