The long-awaited Miss Lebanon pageant "We Miss Lebanon," which had been absent for four years due to the events following the October 17 uprising and the spread of the coronavirus, has kicked off. This year's event is held at the Forum de Beyrouth. Yasmina Zaitoun was crowned Miss Lebanon, while Maya Abu Hassan was the first runner-up, Josiana Rashid the second runner-up, Lara Harawi the third runner-up, and Dala Haballah the fourth runner-up.
Seventeen contestants vied for the title, including Agatha Seifi, Celine Sleiba, Chanel El Amil, Chloe Houshb, Cristina Nakhl, Dala Haballah, Jacinta Arab, Jacinta Rashid, Lara Harawi, Lynn Masoud, Maria Chouhani, Mariana Saqr, Marwa Maki, Maya Abu Hassan, Natalie Said, Silvana Deb, and Yasmina Zaitoun. The event was hosted by actress Emie Siah.
The judging panel consisted of Nayla Toueni, editor-in-chief of "An-Nahar" and "An-Nahar Al-Arabi," influencer Karen Wazen, artist and director Ivan Kirkl, media personality Hilda Khalifa, a representative from the Minister of Tourism Mohamed Yahya, Miss Lebanon 1993 Samaya Shadrawi, and Miss World 2021 Karolina Bielawska, who had to withdraw suddenly after feeling unwell.
The winner of the beauty contest receives $100,000, in addition to representing Lebanon in the Miss World competition in 2022. Activists interacted with the event on social media using the hashtag #wemisslebanon.
