Investigations into "Captagon" Ongoing Between Lebanon and Kuwait

Interior and Municipalities Minister Judge Bassam Mawlawi followed up, via a phone call, on the recent attempt to smuggle Captagon pills into Kuwait with his counterpart, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Mawlawi confirmed that investigations are ongoing to uncover all details of the operation after a quantity of drugs was seized and several individuals were arrested. He highlighted the importance of the cooperation between the Lebanese Ministry of Interior, security agencies, and the General Administration for Drug Control in Kuwait's Ministry of Interior.

Mawlawi expressed his commitment to ensuring the security and stability of Kuwait and all Gulf Cooperation Council countries, reiterating that Lebanese security forces are making tremendous efforts to prevent harm from reaching their brothers.

For his part, Sheikh Al-Sabah thanked Minister Mawlawi for the security efforts undertaken by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and security agencies to maintain the safety of all Arab communities.
