The Abu Dhabi Municipality has warned vehicle owners about the importance of keeping their vehicles clean on the roads, stating that the fine for neglecting vehicle cleanliness is 3000 dirhams, which can be reduced by 50% if paid within a month of issuance. The municipality emphasized that maintaining vehicle cleanliness helps avoid fines, noting that neglected vehicles are impounded at designated areas in Al Mafraq Industrial, next to the "Dinatride" company in Bani Yas East 15, opposite "Yas Mart."
Recently, the Abu Dhabi Municipality launched an awareness campaign to address the issue of abandoned vehicles, aimed at preserving the aesthetic and civic appearance in Abu Dhabi and its suburbs. The five-day campaign targeted various segments of the community to raise awareness about the negative impacts of neglecting cars on the streets and public areas, and to guide them on proper vehicle management.
It was mentioned that abandoned vehicles parked on streets and in public areas receive a warning sticker valid for three days. If the vehicle’s status is not rectified, cleaned, or relocated within this timeframe, a fine will be issued, and the vehicle will be towed to an impound lot. The owner of the impounded vehicle can settle the matter and pay half the fine within 30 days from the issuance of the fine.
The municipality urged community members to actively contribute to combating any distortions in the city’s overall appearance, and to support the municipality's efforts and relevant institutions to enhance quality of life and achieve the highest standards of public safety, health, and a pleasant civic appearance.
