Al-Duhail hopes to secure a victory over Al-Ahli tonight to guarantee their advancement to the quarter-finals of the Qatar Cup. This match serves as the final rehearsal for Al-Duhail before they embark on their journey in the 2020 FIFA Club World Cup, where they will face Al-Ahli in the quarter-finals on February 4.
The winner of the Al-Ahli and Al-Duhail match will meet the German giants Bayern Munich, the UEFA Champions League champion, in the semi-finals of the tournament.
Al-Duhail has played 15 matches in the Qatari league this season, achieving 9 wins, 1 draw, and 5 losses, scoring 36 goals and placing second in the standings with 28 points, 13 points behind the leading team Al-Sadd.
