Jordan's King Abdullah II and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud held talks at the Al-Husseiniya Palace on Tuesday, attended by Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II. The Jordanian monarch emphasized Saudi Arabia's pivotal role, under King Salman's leadership, in supporting the issues of the nation. Meanwhile, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman underscored the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening fraternal relations with Jordan, noting that the aim is to advance into a new phase of cooperation to benefit both Jordan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting that there are significant opportunities in Jordan that will be advantageous for both countries.
The Saudi Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to King Abdullah II, while the Jordanian monarch sent his greetings to the Saudi king through Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. King Abdullah II also presented the Saudi Crown Prince with the Hussein bin Ali Medal, symbolizing the relations between the two countries, and both parties expressed pride in the level of bilateral relations.
Earlier that day, King Abdullah II and Crown Prince Al-Hussein received Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who arrived in the Kingdom leading a high-level delegation for an official two-day visit. Upon his arrival at Queen Alia International Airport, official reception ceremonies were held for the Saudi Crown Prince, with music playing both the Saudi and Jordanian royal anthems, and a 21-gun salute was fired in honor of the guest. The Crown Prince's aircraft was escorted by fighter jets from the Royal Jordanian Air Force upon entering Jordanian airspace as a welcoming gesture.
Among those present to welcome the Crown Prince were Prince Hashem bin Abdullah II, Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, advisor to the King and Chairman of the National Policy Council, as well as other members of the royal family and senior officials including the Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh, the President of the Senate Faisal Al-Fayez, the Speaker of the House of Representatives Abdul Karim Al-Dughmi, and other high-ranking military and civilian officials.
The Saudi Crown Prince's delegation includes a number of high-ranking officials such as Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd, Minister of State and member of the Cabinet, among others. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman arrived on Tuesday evening at Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan, coming from Egypt.
