A Sixty-Year-Old Breaks the Age Barrier and Becomes a Famous Model

Age is just a number, and you can be whatever you want at any age, according to Dr. Geeta Prakash, who is 67 years old and currently one of the most sought-after faces in the modeling world with top designers. Prakash has shattered stereotypes related to age and paved the way for the mature woman model who has realized her dream despite getting older, starting to model for many well-known fashion companies in India and internationally.

Speaking about her experience, Prakash said, "I never thought about modeling when I was young. I always believed I didn't have what it takes to be a model and was happy with my work as a doctor. I never knew that one day I would become a model." She added, "It so happened that an Italian photographer visited my clinic for treatment and asked me if I would like to be a model. Two months later, he contacted me and asked for my photos. Since I didn’t have appropriate shots as a model, I sent him the photos chosen by my children."

Dr. Prakash's journey began with modeling for Jai Pour and then the brand "Tarun Tahiliani." Despite dedicating significant time to modeling, Dr. Prakash ensured she provided regular consultations to her patients.

Prakash confirmed that her children feel excited when they see her photos in fashion advertisements or on fashion websites, saying this makes her happier and strengthens her determination to continue in the modeling industry. She delivered a message to her female peers, advising them not to stop pursuing their dreams no matter the difficulties and regardless of their age, as reported by the Times of India.
