Ramzy Abbas, the agent of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who plays for Liverpool FC, has sparked controversy after posting a photo alongside an unidentified individual. Abbas was seen in a restaurant sitting next to a person with their head covered. Many social media users speculated that this individual could be the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who is currently with the Reds.
Abbas shared an icon expressing great happiness while laughing on Twitter, just hours after Jurgen Klopp's comments regarding the developments of Salah’s contract renewal with the Reds. The fate of negotiations between Salah and Liverpool officials for a contract extension remains pending until further notice.
Jurgen Klopp, the head coach of Liverpool’s first football team, revealed the developments regarding Salah's renewal. During a press conference today, Klopp stated that there have been no new updates recently, as no new contracts have been signed or renewal requests denied by Salah. Klopp added, "We have to wait, and everything is possible; I think we cannot do much more in this matter, and the decision for renewal is up to Salah."
Regarding his team’s upcoming match against Brighton in the English Premier League, Klopp said, "The points from the Brighton match are important for us; the opponent is an organized and good team, and we just need to play and win."
Liverpool will face Brighton at the Amex Stadium tomorrow, Saturday, as part of Matchday 29 of the English Premier League. Liverpool is currently in second place in the league standings with 63 points, trailing Manchester City, who leads with 69 points.
On another note, the Premier League has revealed the best player of the competition for February. Joel Matip, the Liverpool defender, won the Player of the Month award after delivering outstanding performances during his team's matches in February, contributing to four victories for Liverpool during that month. Matip participated in all four matches his team played in February and is the third Liverpool player to win the award this season. He successfully scored a goal during Liverpool's match against Leeds United and provided an assist in the match against Leicester City.
