New TikTok Ban in U.S. Government Agencies

Government agencies in Louisiana and West Virginia became the latest to impose a ban on the use of the short video app TikTok on government devices on Monday due to concerns that it could be used by China to track Americans and monitor content. At least 19 U.S. states have partially restricted access to TikTok, which is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance Ltd. based in Beijing, on devices used by their governments.
