Kuwait Oil Company stated today, Tuesday, that the new Jurassic production stations 4 and 5 are expected to begin operations in early 2024, adding that progress at the stations has reached approximately 70%. The company noted that the production capacity of each station is 50,000 barrels of light oil and 150 million cubic feet of free gas.
Additionally, it mentioned that the oil spill that occurred in the west of the country yesterday "is still under control," and emergency teams are present at the site working around the clock. They confirmed that they have succeeded in containing the scope of the spill and are still making every effort to achieve complete control over it.
