The government body responsible for grain purchases in Jordan has bought approximately 110,000 tons of feed barley from optional origins in an international tender that closed today, Wednesday, according to Reuters citing European traders. The traders added that the authority purchased 50,000 tons from "Archer Daniels Midland" at a price of $267 per ton, including cost and shipping, for delivery in the first half of August, and 60,000 tons from "Viterra" at the same price of $267 per ton, for delivery in the second half of the same month. According to them, four other trading institutions participated in the tender with their offers per ton, including "Cargill" at $279.50, "LDC" at $283, "Olam" at $289, and "Green Flower" at $271.
