The Kremlin denied today, Wednesday, assertions from Ukrainian military intelligence that elements of the Russian private military group Wagner were planning to seize nuclear tools and equipment during the failed mutiny in June. Reuters reported yesterday, Tuesday, that the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that Wagner fighters reached a nuclear base known as Voronezh 45 in an attempt to acquire small Soviet-era nuclear tools and equipment. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin does not have such information, adding that the claims circulating on this matter appear to be misleading.
