Israeli Army spokesman Avichay Adraee announced that the army conducted strikes on infrastructure sites and other targets belonging to Hamas in southern Lebanon. In a tweet, he stated, "The Defense Army will not allow Hamas to operate from Lebanon," and emphasized that "the Lebanese state is responsible for any gunfire that originates from its territory." The Israeli bombardment targeted the vicinity of the Rashidiya Palestinian refugee camp near the city of Tyre, in addition to the Qlayla plain from which rockets were fired from Lebanon toward Israel, causing damage to some homes due to the rockets.
