Kuwait: Dissolution of the National Assembly and Call for General Elections

The Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, stated: "Based on all that has been presented, and in accordance with the constitution and in respect for the popular will, we have decided to dissolve the National Assembly of 2020 as reinstated by the Constitutional Court through a constitutional dissolution based on Article 107 of the Constitution, and to call for general elections in the coming months," as reported by official media.
