The BBC and Sky Sports reported today, Wednesday, that "Ilkay Gündoğan, Manchester City's midfielder, will join Barcelona on a free transfer." He will leave City after a 7-year career in England during which he won 14 titles, including 5 league titles. Gündoğan will depart City after playing over 300 matches and scoring 60 goals. He will be a significant addition to coach Xavi's squad at Barcelona, especially after the departure of experienced midfielder Sergio Busquets following 18 years with the Spanish champions.
