Verstappen started from ninth position and seized victory from his teammate Sergio Perez after the only pit stop with less than six laps to go. The perfect start to the season continued for Red Bull, securing their fifth victory in five races. Fernando Alonso returned to the podium with Aston Martin, finishing third, marking his fourth podium in five races after placing fourth in Azerbaijan the previous week.
