Education Ministry Announces Delay in Preparations for the Academic Year

Minister of Education and Higher Education Abbas Halabi indicated that he is "working together with the teaching staff to secure their rights." Halabi stated in a statement that "due to the delay in benefits for members of the teaching staff from the temporary compensation stated in Decree No. 11227/2023 for the summer months, as the decree was issued on 31/8/2023, and given the urgent need for these compensations to ensure the ability of teaching staff to attend, the minister will issue a new decision suspending the implementation of Decision No. 695/M/2023 dated 4/9/2023, and postponing the start of preparatory work for the academic year 2023/2024 to a later date, until a decision is made by the Council of Ministers in this regard."
