The Moroccan Minister of Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, has predicted that "the Moroccan economy will grow by 3.7 percent in 2024, following an expected growth of 3.4 percent this year," noting the "impact of drought and inflationary pressures." Lekjaa informed members of parliament that "the 2024 forecasts assume an average grain harvest and an annual inflation rate of 3.4 percent." It is anticipated that the fiscal deficit in 2024 will decrease to four percent of GDP, down from 4.5 percent this year.
