The Iraqi Electricity Club defeated its guest, the Jordanian Units, 3-1 in a match held today, Tuesday, in the fourth round of the second group in the AFC Cup. The Iraqi team’s three goals were scored by defender Najem Shwan, Cameroonian striker Barja Nkuba, and Ivorian striker Shafiu Momony in the 7th, 71st, and 90th minutes, respectively. Meanwhile, the Jordanian player Mohammad Abdul-Mutalib scored the only goal for the Units in the 86th minute of the match, which took place at the Basra International Stadium.
The Electricity Club topped Group B with 7 points, surpassing both the Kuwaiti Club and the Units, who are in second and third places respectively by one point. Meanwhile, the Syrian club Ahli Aleppo is at the bottom of the group with 2 points after drawing with Kuwait 1-1.
