Manchester City Reaches Agreement to Acquire Nunes

British media reported on Wednesday that Manchester City has reached a verbal agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding the transfer of Portuguese midfielder Matheus Nunes to the Premier League champions. Reports indicate that the two clubs have agreed, during ongoing negotiations, for the 25-year-old player to move to Manchester City for £47 million (approximately $59.83 million). Wolverhampton signed Nunes last August for a record club fee of €45 million (around $49.23 million) from Sporting Lisbon on a five-year contract. City is looking to compensate for the absence of Kevin De Bruyne, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury for an extended period after the start of the season.
