Russia Attacks Oil Refinery in Ukraine with Drones

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced on Wednesday that air defense systems shot down 17 out of 24 drones launched by Russia over Ukrainian territory during the night. Reuters was unable to independently verify the report. Dmytro Lunin, the governor of the Poltava region in central Ukraine, stated that Russia launched a drone attack on the Kremenchuk oil refinery overnight, causing a fire. He mentioned on the Telegram app that refining operations were temporarily halted, adding that there were no reports of casualties. The refinery has been repeatedly targeted by Russia since it invaded Ukraine last year.
