Report on Polluted Marine Sites in Lebanon

A report from the National Council for Scientific Research, in collaboration with the National Center for Marine Sciences, stated that 22 out of 37 marine sites are rated as good to very good, distributed along the Lebanese coastline from north to south. The report identifies these sites as: "Tripoli/ beside the municipal stadium, Anfeh/ below Deir al-Natour, Anfeh/ under the wind, El-Heri/ private beach, Selata/ public beach, Batroun/ public beach of Bhasaa, Amchit/ public beach, Jbeil/ sandy beach, Jbeil/ public beach of Bhasaa, Batroun/ Hama, Fidar/ below Fidar bridge, Aaquba/ mouth of Ibrahim River, Bawareh/ public beach, Jounieh/ public beach, Damour/ private beach, Jiyeh/ private beach, Oualli/ northern beach of Oualli River mouth, Safra/ below Sher Safra, Naqoura/ north of Naqoura port, Tyre/ nature reserve beach, Ramileh/ private beach, and Adloun/ private beach."
