UEFA announced today, Thursday, that Eintracht Frankfurt has been fined €70,000 ($76,314) and will be required to close part of its stands in its next European competition match. This decision follows the incident where fireworks were set off by the fans and passages were blocked during their home loss against Napoli last month. Additionally, French club Nantes has been fined €66,125 after its fans also set off fireworks, threw projectiles, issued offensive messages, and invaded the pitch. UEFA has also decided to partially close the French team's stadium for its upcoming continental match.
