The Polish Football Association announced today, Wednesday, the appointment of Michał Probierz as the new coach of the national team, succeeding Fernando Santos. Polish Football Association President Cezary Kulesza stated in a statement: "Michał Probierz has been appointed as the coach of the Polish national team. This is the best possible choice. I wish the new coach good luck."
Probierz, former coach of the Polish Under-21 team, will take charge starting from the next qualifying round in October, when Poland faces the Faroe Islands before hosting Moldova. Poland is currently in fourth place in Group E with six points from five matches.
