The Russian Ministry of Defense and the Mayor of Moscow indicated today, Tuesday, that "Russian air defense systems shot down drones launched by Ukraine in Istra and Kaluga." The ministry stated, "Its air defense systems destroyed a drone at around 3 a.m. local time (00:00 GMT)." For his part, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin noted via the Telegram app that "drones were shot down over the Kaluga and Istra regions, and it was an attempt to carry out an attack on Moscow." Sobyanin added, "According to preliminary information, there were no injuries or damage at the site where the drone wreckage fell." Istra is located in the Moscow region, approximately 65 kilometers northwest of the Kremlin.
