The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, announced today that the decision by the United States to send 31 M1A2 Abrams battle tanks to Ukraine will make a difference in the ongoing war with Russia, but it is not a magic solution. Milley stated after a meeting with Ukraine's allies at Ramstein Air Base in Germany, "I am not neutral, but I see the M1 tank as the best tank in the world. I believe it is a tank that will make a difference when delivered." He also cautioned, "But I would also warn that there is no magic solution to the war."
