The Israeli army announced on Monday that it has "indicators" showing that Hamas fighters have taken hostages in a children's hospital in the Gaza Strip during their attack on southern Israel on October 7. Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari stated, "We found a tunnel beneath the Al-Rantisi hospital." He added, referencing a video clip, that the Israeli army has gathered "indicators that suggest Hamas was holding hostages here, such as a baby's bottle or a piece of rope connected to a chair," according to "AFP." He continued, saying, "Our war against Hamas, which uses civilians as human shields." Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant also declared on Monday that Hamas "has lost control of Gaza," following more than five weeks of Israeli strikes on the territory.
