Egypt Aims to Purchase Raw Sugar

The General Authority for Supply Commodities in Egypt announced today, Monday, the initiation of a request for proposals to supply 50,000 tons of raw cane sugar from any origin and/or 50,000 tons of imported refined white sugar packaged from any origin for the benefit of the Holding Company for Food Industries, represented by the Sugar and Integrated Industries Company. The authority stated that "the refined white sugar must be fit for human consumption... and should be packaged in 50-kilogram bags." It added that "bids should be for delivery periods from January 1 to January 15, 2024, and/or from January 16 to January 30, 2024, and/or from February 1 to February 15, 2024."
