Trump: I am the Only American President Who Did Not Start a War in 72 Years

Former President Donald Trump stated that he is "the only president in the country in 72 years who did not start a war," adding, "No, I did not start wars; I ended them." During a campaign rally in Iowa for his 2024 presidential election bid, Trump remarked, "Remember (former Secretary of State) Hillary Clinton who said: 'He will cause a war. He will make war happen! Look at him, the way he talks, he will cause a war!'" He noted, "I said: No, the way I talk, I will stop wars. I am the only president in 72 years who did not start a war. No, we did not start; we ended wars. We defeated ISIS. We left Syria, and we left Iraq."
