A delegation from the Republic of Lebanon arrived in Kuwait on Sunday evening, consisting of the Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri, the caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Deputy Prime Minister Saadet al-Shami, to offer condolences for the late Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated that "the late Emir of Kuwait, through his policies manifested in many difficult times that Lebanon went through, was a great supporter, ally, and advocate, leaving marks that will continue to be appreciated and acknowledged by Lebanon's government and people."
