Courtois and His Wife Support Israel: What Did They Do?

An Israeli newspaper, "Maariv," revealed that the support of Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and his wife for Israel "extends beyond social media platforms." The newspaper reported that the Belgian goalkeeper and his Israeli wife, model Michal Jerzyg, donated approximately 200,000 shekels (around 50,000 dollars) to aid Israelis who have recently been evacuated from their homes amid the conflict with Hamas. "Maariv" stated that Courtois and Jerzyg, who married a few months ago in Cannes, southern France, kept their donations to Israelis discreet. The couple also "worked to collect donations from other friends living abroad, for Israelis who have lost their homes." At the onset of the war, the Real Madrid goalkeeper, who is currently receiving treatment, shared a post stating: "I am very sad about the situation, sending love and support to my friends and family in Israel, hoping that this nightmare ends soon."
