Lazio, currently in second place in the Italian Serie A, announced on Sunday that striker Ciro Immobile is under observation in the hospital after suffering a rib fracture and back injury during a car accident in Rome. Italian media reported that Immobile, who scored in his team's 3-0 victory over Spezia on Friday, was involved in an accident after his car collided with a tram in Rome. Lazio stated that Immobile's condition is "good at the moment," confirming he is under observation in a hospital in Rome. Sky Sport Italia reported that the 33-year-old striker was driving with his two daughters and told the police that the tram did not obey the red light. Seven other individuals, including some tram passengers, were taken to the hospital for checks. Immobile has scored ten goals in the league this season, leading Lazio to hold second place behind the league leaders, Napoli.
