The Interfax news agency reported today, Tuesday, that the Russian Ministry of Defense stated it "foiled a Ukrainian drone attack on two civilian transport ships in the Black Sea." The ministry earlier mentioned that "three Ukrainian maritime drones targeted Russian navy ships in the Black Sea, 340 kilometers southwest of Sevastopol, and were destroyed." Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's advisor, Mykhailo Podolyak, pointed out that "Kyiv did not and will not attack civilian ships or any other civilian objects in the Black Sea," describing the Russian statements as "false." Podolyak told Reuters: "Without a doubt, these statements issued by Russian officials are false and contain not a shred of truth."
