The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Bou Habib, confirmed that "Lebanese nationals and those accompanying them, including Palestinians and Syrians, were evacuated from Sudan via Saudi Arabia." In a television interview, he stated, "Under the instructions of Prime Minister Najib Mikati, Middle East Airlines will provide flight tickets for their return to Beirut in the coming hours, and without Saudi cooperation, we would have been 'orphaned.' We are very grateful to them." He continued, "We are responding to the incoming communications and preparing the second batch for the evacuation of Lebanese nationals in cooperation with businessman Saadallah Mikati in Sudan and the citizen Abdul Rahman Tayara, whose name has recently come up. He has arrived at the hotel which serves as the gathering point, and he will be evacuated along with others when the number is complete."
