The Iraqi Minister of Transport, Razak Muhibis Al-Saadawi, directed the Iraqi Airways today, Friday, to facilitate the return of Iraqi travelers stranded in Saudi Arabia in coordination with the relevant authorities. The ministry stated in a communiqué that "Al-Saadawi has instructed the General Company for Iraqi Airways to organize the return of Iraqi travelers stranded in Saudi Arabia, coordinating with the concerned parties to facilitate their repatriation to their homeland, ensuring their safety and dignity." The minister emphasized "the necessity of dedicating all resources and efforts to expedite and organize their return in coordination with the overseas offices of the airline." It is noted that the return of dozens of Iraqi travelers to Saudi Arabia has been suspended due to sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department on Fly Baghdad airline.
