The defending champion Al-Ahed regained the lead in the 63rd Lebanese Premier League, which they had lost to Ansar yesterday, after drawing with table leaders Al-Najma 1-1. Al-Ahed finished the match with ten players after Hussein Al-Zein was sent off with a straight red card following a clash with goalkeeper Ali Al-Sabe' . Al-Najma's Rabi' Ataya scored, and Al-Ahed's Karim Darwish equalized. This result brought Al-Ahed's points to 20, equal with Ansar, and they were unable to avenge their only loss this season against Al-Najma, which was 1-2 in the previous match.
