The defending champion Al-Ahed regained the lead in the 63rd Lebanese Premier League, which they had lost to Ansar yesterday, after drawing with table leaders Al-Najma 1-1. The match took place this Friday afternoon at Fouad Chehab Sports Complex in Jounieh during the fourth round of the "First Six" grouping for teams that occupied the top six positions at the end of the first stage. Al-Ahed finished the match with ten players after Hussein Al-Zein was sent off with a straight red card following a clash with goalkeeper Ali Al-Sabe' . Al-Najma's Rabi' Ataya scored, and Al-Ahed's Karim Darwish equalized. This result brought Al-Ahed's points to 20, equal with Ansar, and they were unable to avenge their only loss this season against Al-Najma, which was 1-2 in the previous match. Meanwhile, Al-Najma dropped to third place with 19 points.
