According to the Syrian news agency "SANA," Assad received messages from Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloyev, Abkhazian President Aslan Bzhania, and Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio. Assad also received a message of congratulations from Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council. The exchanged greetings included wishes for continued success, more good fortune, progress, and the strengthening of relations between Syria and other countries.
