Max Verstappen, the Red Bull driver, began his quest for a fourth consecutive title in the Formula 1 World Championship by winning the Bahrain Grand Prix at the start of the new season. He started from pole position and recorded the fastest lap, surpassing his teammate Sergio Perez. Carlos Sainz of Ferrari finished in third place at the Sakhir Circuit, ahead of his teammate Charles Leclerc, who placed fourth. This victory marks Red Bull's 114th win since they first entered the championship 20 years ago, tying them with Williams as the fourth most successful team in the history of the competition. Verstappen achieved his 55th career victory.
