The case of Lin, who suffered from rape and severe bleeding without the perpetrator being identified, has garnered widespread sympathy. The child lived with her mother at her grandparents' house following her parents' divorce, but she also visited her paternal grandfather's home. On Tuesday, MP Walid Baassiri tweeted: "Lin Taleb's rights will not be lost. Whoever the criminal is, he will not escape his crime; there is no protection for anyone.
