In the Russian capital, Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reported early Tuesday morning that Russian air defenses in the Ramensky region intercepted a drone that was en route to Moscow. The mayor confirmed that the Russian air defense forces in the Ramensky region successfully repelled a drone heading towards the capital, with no damage or injuries reported, according to Sputnik.
Sobyanin stated in a message via the Telegram app on Tuesday morning, "Today (Tuesday), the air defense forces in the Ramensky region repelled a drone attack flying towards Moscow." He also noted that "according to preliminary data, there were no damages or injuries from intercepting the drone, and emergency service specialists are working at the wreckage site."
Gleb Nikitin, the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, also reported on Tuesday that an oil refining unit in the town of Kstovo caught fire following a drone attack. He added via Telegram, "In the morning, the Kstovo industrial area, which is a fuel and energy facility, was attacked by drones," according to Reuters.
