Zelensky Supports Macron's Call to Deploy Western Forces in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he supports the idea proposed by his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron regarding the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine. This was mentioned during televised remarks by Zelensky concerning the potential sending of military trainers and technicians to Ukraine, as well as his support for the deployment of foreign troops on the Ukrainian border with Belarus to free up Ukrainian armed forces reserves stationed there. Zelensky said, "I fully support that. As for the idea concerning our forces on the border with Belarus, if they offer it to us, we will definitely support them." Macron had indicated in February that the European Union had approved the formation of the "ninth coalition for deep strikes," meaning providing Ukraine with medium and long-range missiles.
