The Minister of National Defense in the caretaker government, Maurice Sleem, met in his office in Yarzeh this morning with the Italian Ambassador, Nicoletta Bombardieri, in a farewell visit on the occasion of the end of her mission in Lebanon. Minister Sleem expressed his appreciation for Ambassador Bombardieri's efforts in strengthening Italian-Lebanese relations, commending Italy's ongoing support for Lebanon, especially the assistance provided to the army. The meeting also discussed the situation and developments in Lebanon and the region. The Defense Minister reviewed the latest developments in the country with MPs Elias Stefan, Melhem al-Hujairi, and Adib Abd al-Masih.
