The mayor of the town of Houla, Shakib Qattish, in southern Lebanon, announced that an Israeli airstrike killed a family consisting of a mother, father, and their son in their home today, Tuesday. The casualties were identified as: "father Hassan Ali Qassem Hussein, son Ali Hassan Hussein, and mother Roueida Mustafa." He stated to Reuters, "It was a three-story house, and now it has completely collapsed; rescue workers are still working to find out who is still under it."
The Civil Defense in southern Lebanon declared in a statement, "A man, his wife, and their son have been martyred in an Israeli airstrike on their home in the town of Houla." Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike targeting the northern outskirts of the town of Houla. Additionally, Israeli aircraft carried out a series of strikes on Kafra, Aita al-Shaab, and its surroundings.
Israeli warplanes also targeted the Al-Baraka neighborhood in the town of Majdal Zoun with three missiles, which hit an uninhabited area, resulting in no casualties; one missile didn't detonate at the site. The Israeli aircraft also targeted a house in the town of Jabal al-Bateem. A person of Syrian nationality (A. A.) was injured as a result of the Israeli shelling in the Wazzani area and was transferred to Hasbaya Hospital for treatment.
In response, Hezbollah announced in a statement that its members targeted "the Ruisat al-Alam site in the occupied Kfarshouba Hills with rocket fire, hitting it directly." They also targeted a Merkava tank on Tal al-Taihat with the appropriate weapons, causing damage and destruction. In another statement, Hezbollah announced that it attacked "a gathering of enemy Israeli soldiers on Tal al-Taihat with rocket fire, hitting it directly" and targeted "the Kiryat Shmona settlement with appropriate weapons."
