Libya: Efforts to Reopen Ras Jdir Crossing

Libyan authorities are working to reopen the Ras Jdir border crossing with Tunisia, which "was forcibly closed by armed militias a few days ago." The Minister of Interior in the National Unity Government, Imad al-Tarabulsi, stated that the crossing will not be reopened "until it returns to the state's authority and under the rule of law." Al-Tarabulsi added in press statements that "the government may have to use force to regain control of the crossing."
