American actor Lance Reddick, known for his roles in the TV series "The Wire," "Fringe," and "Bosch," has passed away at the age of 60. Reddick's attorney, James Hornstein, announced on Friday that the actor died at his home in Los Angeles. Mia Hansen, Reddick's publicist, stated, "We will miss Lance dearly."
The actor, who died on Friday at 60, played Lt. Cedric Daniels, the principled head of the investigation unit on “The Wire.” He also appeared in “White House Down” and in video games such as Horizon Zero Dawn and the Destiny franchise.
Reddick began his career in 1996 as a stage actor, taking on small roles in the series "New York Undercover," "The West Wing," and other television shows, in addition to some TV films. He gained fame for his role as "Cedric Daniels" in the crime series "The Wire" and as "Phillip Broyles" in the sci-fi series "Fringe." Reddick appeared in works such as "Lost," "Oz," "Corporate," and "Resident Evil."
His latest role was in "John Wick: Chapter 4," where he portrayed "Sharon," scheduled for release in theaters on March 24, 2023. He was also set to appear in the upcoming film "Ballerina" alongside Spanish actress Ana de Armas.
