Infantino Congratulates Benzema

FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated French player Karim Benzema, star of Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, for his achievement in the Club World Cup. Benzema led his team Al-Ittihad to a 3-0 victory against New Zealand's Auckland City on Tuesday night, securing a spot in the quarter-finals.

Benzema scored his team's third goal in the match, while Brazilian Romarinho netted the first and French player N'Golo Kanté scored the second. Benzema became the first player to score in four different editions in the history of the Club World Cup.

Infantino shared a photo of himself with Benzema on his Instagram account during the presentation of the gold medal from the last edition of the Club World Cup with Real Madrid. He wrote: "Congratulations Benzema, you are the first player to score in four editions of the Club World Cup," and added: "An amazing achievement for a great player, best wishes to you in this edition."

Al-Ittihad is scheduled to meet Egyptian club Al Ahly (African champion) in the quarter-finals next Friday. The Club World Cup will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from December 12 to 22.
