The Italian Serie A league on Thursday decided to suspend Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri for two matches and imposed a fine of 5,000 euros due to his behavior during the Coppa Italia final. The league report stated that Allegri "acted aggressively" and used offensive language and gestures towards the referees.

A video showed Allegri losing his temper and angry at the referee's decision, where he tore his jacket and received a red card for sarcastically applauding the referee during stoppage time.

Juventus won against Atalanta 1-0 to clinch the title on Wednesday, which could be Allegri's last major match with the club. With this victory, Juventus now holds the record for the most Coppa Italia titles, with 15, while Roma and Inter follow in second place with 9 titles.
