Continuous Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon and Shelling in Mays al-Jabal Hospital Parking Lot

The Israeli warplanes are carrying out a series of intense airstrikes on the border area of Kfarkala, while Lebanese border regions are experiencing continuous artillery shelling, which targeted the grounds of the Mays al-Jabal governmental hospital. A shell landed in the hospital's parking lot, with shrapnel reaching the emergency room, but divine intervention prevented any injuries among the on-duty medical and nursing staff. The Israeli shelling also targeted the outskirts of the town of Hula, with reports of injuries. Civil defense personnel conducted a survey of the targeted area due to the Israeli airstrikes, revealing significant damage to homes.

Hezbollah's military media announced in a statement that its members targeted an Israeli soldiers' position near the Yara barracks at 5:55 PM on Monday, January 1, 2024, using appropriate weapons and achieving a direct hit. They also targeted the Hadb al-Bustan site at 3:00 PM on Monday, successfully hitting it directly.

Tensions have resumed in southern Lebanon along the border with Israel after a cautious calm settled over the border villages until early morning hours. The Israeli army shot down a drone that had penetrated Israeli airspace coming from Lebanon and bombarded the outskirts of the town of Tyre Harfa. Two airstrikes were recorded targeting Kfarkala near the al-Shami station from an Israeli drone. Artillery fire also reached the outskirts of Bint Jbeil and the town of Maroun al-Ras. Additionally, Israeli reconnaissance drones flew intensively, conducting exploratory missions at medium altitude over the villages and towns in the Hasbaya district.
